While there is no set release date for the UK just yet, it\u2019s expected that the EQB will hit our showrooms in the second half of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand new EQB is set to directly rival the likes of the Audi Q4 E-tron, though is based on Mercedes\u2019 existing car, the GLB. The GLB offers functional style within every detail of the model, from the bold silhouette, to the wow-inducing interior, and comes set with some of the top tech and safety features around. If the EQB is anything like it\u2019s predecessor, we\u2019re in for an amazing ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details are still currently limited, however we can confirm that Mercedes-Benz have stated that the UK will be getting one variant to begin with &#8211; the top-of-the-range EQB 350 4Matic. This particular variant had an output of 288bhp thanks to two electric motors &#8211; a synchronous unit in the rear axle, and an asynchronous unit under the bonnet. These motors are powered by a 66kWh lithium ion battery which is housed beneath the rear seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While full performance details have yet to be released, the four-wheel-drive EQB is said to reach 0-62mph in around 6 seconds, with a range of 260 miles on a full battery charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As far as the overall look goes, we can expect a similar drivetrain to the EQA, however the EQB is set to have it\u2019s own individual styling elements, including a blanket-off grille, as well as light bands and new bumpers on the front and back of the vehicle. As always, there\u2019ll also be the AMG line styling available, which will come set with 20 inch wheels, a uniquely styled pair of bumpers, and other bespoke details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the UK might only initially be getting the EQB 350 4Matic, the line-up is also set to include the EQB 250, which will have a front-mounted motor offering 188bhp, and the EQB 300 4Matic, which is set to have the same dual motor operation, but will offer 241bhp (approximately.)
