Everything We Know About The Brand New EQE SUV

Mercedes-Benz is well underway with releasing its full lineup of Electric Vehicles but the newest model due to hit the market adds to the already impressive EQE range. October will see the release of the EQE SUV – this pure-electric vehicle follows similar design styles to the EQE sedan but offers a “multi-purpose variant” for those seeking a bigger and more spacious vehicle. So far, we’ve seen spy camera shots of the SUV wrapped up in camouflage and recently, the first official photos released of the vehicle’s interior alongside an official release date.

The EQE SUV it set to be released on the 16th of October 2022 and sits as one of the manufacturer’s leaders for spacious driving. As a step up from the EQS SUV, we can expect to see a similar design but with a whole host of upgraded technology and a more dynamic finish overall. With some of the biggest headroom, legroom and elbow room available in a Mercedes SUV, this vehicle boasts some impressive interior architecture that really provides that modern touch that we love about Mercedes cars.

The interior of the EQE SUV will combine modern and traditional elements, particularly in the form of materials. You can expect to see aluminium, leather, wood and more, all bundled into a five-colour combination that crosses between warm and cooler tones. Bask in the warmth of Balao brown while experiencing the modern finish of Neva Grey and Biscay Blue/Black. With backlighting and the option for a full dashboard MBUX hyper screen, this is an SUV that really holds its own in the modern luxury markets today. We can also expect to see turbine design vents, trims of aluminium, wood, £D anthracite and other final metal pigments, as well as a potential AMG variation upon release.

As far as the exterior and powertrain are concerned, however, we have very little information. We can expect to see similar stats to the Sedan, with around 677 horsepower and a 90/6 kWh battery powering two electric motors for the EQE 53 SUV, and a slightly lower 496hp for the EQE 43 SUV.

In the coming weeks running up to the release date, we can expect to see more information released about the exterior of the vehicle and what we can expect from its performance.
